SangEun Kim

I am a mixed-method researcher with a Ph.D. in Political Science from Vanderbilt University. I previously studied at Seoul National University, where I received my B.A. in 2012 and M.A. in Political Science in 2015.

My dissertation project focused on the politics of traditional chieftaincy and its impacts on local communities, primarily in sub-Saharan Africa. My other works investigated the substantive representation of Ugandan local politicians and the effects of natural disasters on public trust in different government apparatuses.
